Lynx Information Systems provides geophysical and geological support to the upstream petroleum industry, helping explorationists to concentrate on developing hydrocarbon prospects. We provide specialist services for integrating your legacy data – seismic vectorizing, well log digitizing and compositing, and map georectification, digitizing and gridding.
Seismic Vectorizing
We can convert your paper seismic data or seismic screenshots into digital SEG-Y format. We can scan seismic sections from paper and film using our full-scale scanners, or you can scan your data in-house and send us the seismic images for vectorizing. We can remove interpretation prior to vectorizing, convert to standard SEG-Y, and apply additional post-stack processing to improve the seismic data quality.
Seismic shotpoint basemaps can be digitized and converted to SEG-P1/UKOOA format, for insertion into seismic trace headers, or we can provide your vectorized seismic data ready to interpret as an IHS Kingdom project.
Well Log Digitizing and Compositing
Well logs can be loaded from tape, or scanned from hard-copy images, digitized from black-and-white, grayscale or color images, composited, and delivered in industry-standard formats – LAS, LIS, LISTIF or DLIS.
Mapping and GIS Services
Lynx can scan legacy paper maps – eg surface geology, structural features, reservoir isopachs – and provide fast and accurate digitizing of the contents. We can also georectify and digitize map data from screenshots embedded in presentations. Structure and contour maps can be combined from multiple tiles and re-gridded.
We can also provide consultancy and advice on building, loading and maintaining spatial databases and linking to document management systems.
