The AAPG Datapages Data Exploration Objects (DEO) website (deo.datapages.com) was launched at the AAPG Annual Convention and Exhibition in Houston, Texas in April 2014. DEO provides interactive map-based access to articles published by the AAPG and its partner organisations, and allows subscribers to download georectified map images from figures in these articles. The full digital archive of AAPG journals and articles stretches back to 1922, and the DEO website currently provides access to figures and articles back to 1989, with ongoing plans to extend the depth and breadth of available data.
Lynx is proud to be a technology partner in this project, working with Datapages to catalog the AAPG journal digital archive and build the website providing map-based access to a growing archive of reference materials.
Feel free to explore the DEO website, and request a test drive for a temporary subscription.
The DEO website was built by Lynx using our Lynx Resource Portal (LRP) framework, utilising ESRI’s ArcGIS for Server platform. The LRP can be implemented as a web portal for data-rooms, farmouts and national archives, or as part of your company intranet to provide online visual access to geophysical and geological data including maps, wells and 2D and 3D seismic data.
If you are interested in implementing the LRP with in your organisation, contact us, and we will be happy to discuss your requirements.
